Former San Diego Flash, US Youth National player joins Rangers as Director of Coaching
The Chula Vista Rangers Soccer Club is pleased to announce the addition of former San Diego Flash, UCLA and US Youth National player Eric Chaisongkram as the new Director of Coaching for the club.
Eric holds a USSF “B” National License and played outdoor soccer professionally for Thailand-UCOM Rajpracha and San Diego Flash before retiring in 2000. He also played for University of California, Los Angeles and formed part of the U16 and U19 US Youth National Teams where he was a teammate of Claudio Reyna the current U.S. Soccer's Youth Technical Director.
He is also an educator and has been a teacher since 2002. Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and a Master’s Degree in Education from Azusa Pacific University.
“Eric has coached High School, College and formed part of Albion and most recently Nomads coaching staff. Eric is an experienced player and coach, and his expertise will greatly benefit our talented and dedicated group of young players and coaches,” said Polo Aviles, EVP of the Chula Vista Rangers.
“We have been looking for someone to enhance the innovation and motivation that our coaches and players will need this year to be top competitors. I believe we have found this in Eric, he brings with him an abundance of soccer expertise which will be very beneficial to our organization”, said Silvestre Vigilante, President of the Chula Vista Rangers.

Eric currently lives in Chula Vista with his wife and two children.
