CV Rangers BU14 Red Win Back-to-Back Tournament Championships!

Rangers BU14 Red 1-0 victory over PQ Premier Red in the San Diego Premier Classic Final championship game was won in an unusual way for the Rangers: They did it with defense. Coach Polo Aviles and Adrian Caro employed constant pressure and a disciplined compact defense to slow down the PQ Premier offense and bring back-to-back tournament titles to CV Rangers.  It is the second time the Rangers Red team have repeated as champions in the month of August.

The Rangers defense composed of Robert Garza, Gonzalo Jimenez, Eduardo Acosta, Isaac Castorena, Jesus Sanchez, Scott Nelson, team captain Julio Huerta and Star Goal Keeper Ricky Durazo contributed towards shutting out PQ Premier to zero goals.  For the San Diego Premier Classic and the San Diego United Summer Challenge the team has scored 23 goals and allowed just 3.  The team has participated in 6 tournaments and their overall record this far is 16-5-2.
