BU9 bring home title in Temecula

FINALLY!!

It had been a hard season pre season for the BU8 white team. They had lost all but one of the friendly games they had played. And the one they didn’t lose they had tied. They had come in last place in the Memorial Day tournament. Then to make matters worse, they lost their coach.
Someone on the team must have found a lucky penny because in July luck started to change. After the departure of their coach one of the parents, who just happens to have his coaching license, stepped up and offered to take over. The boys practiced hard and as most 8 years old do, adjusted quickly. They still lost their friendly games but little by little they started to look better. Then it happened…
At the Elite Cup Tournament held in Temecula this past August 1st and 2nd, the BU8 White team, coached by Sergio Carrillo went on to WIN their bracket and take home the trophy. After a first game loss of 4-2, the boys went on to win their next two games 9-0 and 8-1. For the final they were up against the team they had lost against in the first round and went on to beat them 4-0. The boys were elated, the parents were ecstatic, and the coach now has no doubt that he made the right decision when he put that whistle around his neck.
