C.V. Rangers BU17 Red wins Championship this past weekend at the Arsenal FC Winter College Showcase 2009.
First game was Saturday morning against Foothill Storm; they were victorious by a score of Storm 2-1. Goals were scored by Javier Pena (CVHS) and Hernan Naranjo Buenrostro (MHS). Saturday afternoon, the played against Arsenal FC S and lost 2-1 with the lone score coming from Daniel Cueva (CVHS).
Sunday morning they played in the semifinal match against Chelsea Boys 91 Blue, in this game Daniel Salinas (OHS) scored our only goal, enough to beat Chelsea and sent us to play the final against Arsenal FC S, after 90 minutes and two 10 minutes over time, the championship was defined in PK'S David "Ochoa" Luquen (PHHS) stopped the Arsenal's second shot and Ivan Melendez (SMHS), Mario Ibarra (CVHS), Jesus Vela (CVHS) and Daniel Cueva (CVHS) scored their shots to win the ARSENAL FC WINTER SHOWCASE 2009.
